Nintendo has announced that they will be offering a free seven day trial for their Switch Online service. Here’s what we know and how to access it.
What Nintendo is offering
Nintendo has recently announced that until April 2, people will be able to sign up for a seven day free trial to Switch Online. This will allow them access to online features as well as access to the cloud to backup save files. Additionally, it is here you will find classic games for NES, SNES and Game Boy.

The rules
As an incentive for new customers, the trial cannot be activated for Nintendo accounts with a Switch Online membership already active (either individual or family membership).
Additionally, the free trial cannot be used to purchase classic controllers.
If you do not wish to continue subscribing after the trial ends, make sure to cancel auto renewal.
How to activate your free code
Here are the simple steps to follow if you wish to take part in the trial:
1. Select the “Redeem” button above to receive a code.
2. Your free 7-day trial code will be displayed on this page after you redeem the reward.
3. To activate your free 7-day trial, redeem your code on this page.
