FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES STAR-STUDDED 2008 SEASON
Welcome to the Canandaigua LakeMusic Festival! This season, we are thrilled to present introduce a number of world-class artists and ensembles who are performing at the Festival &ndash including the critically acclaimed Amelia Piano Trio and the innovative improvisation artist Noam Sivan &ndash along with musicians who are well known to our community, such as violinist Juliana Athayde and Van Cliburn award-winning pianist Jon Nakamatsu. New for our fourth season, Classical Blue Jeans will take place at the picturesque Bristol Harbour Resort, a stunning setting for our growing audiences.a stunning setting for this lively event. We are also offering our first ever thematic programs &ndash full evenings devoted to music inspired by water imagery (Fri., August 29) and music inspired by the beauty of nature, including Copland's beloved Appalachian Spring (Sunday, Aug. 31). These programs invite you in for a deep listening experience through a rich network of associations and images. We also hope you'll join us for our special Community Events, such as our Family Concert, Chamber Music Master Class, and Open Rehearsal.
