With The Last of Us struggling on PC at the moment, fans are dealing with it by creating mods. This one adds Pedro Pascal’s face to the game.
With crashes, disappointing graphics and an ‘unsupported’ version for Valve’s Steam Deck, TLOU is having a tough time since coming to PC. With Naughty Dog working overtime to get the game in a playable state, fans are passing the time by creating mods.
Pedro Pascal’s Joel
This mod created by Speclizer in collaboration with the modding team at Alpha Studios allows you to apply Pedro Pascal’s face to Joel’s. If you have an internet connection, you have no doubt seen that Pascal is the man of the moment. So it’s no surprise that this mod has been created.
This mod will now allow you to bring Pascal’s version of Joel to the game. This is perfect timing after the success of his portrayal as Joel in HBO’s adaptation. The mod replaces Joel’s face with that of Pascal’s and it’s scarily accurate.
The mod runs fairly smoothly but will sometimes unsync during cutscenes. However, this is to be expected from mods so if you want to add Pascal to your game, you can view the mod here.
The Last of Us Updates
It may be worth holding off on this mod until the PC port has received all its hotfixes and patches. A hotfix was released on April 4 which fixed a series of issues. However, a larger patch will be arriving this Friday.
Naughty Dog have assured fans that they are working on the issues plaguing the PC port. Once it is up to their standards, they will turn their attention to bringing The Last of Us to the Steam Deck.
