With just over a week until release, the PC requirements for the zombie-slashing Dead Island 2 have finally been released. Let’s take a look.
With the title being (very) long awaited, fans are desperate to get into the gore-filled world. The world in question is set in beautiful California and trailers have shown how graphically amazing the setting really is. So much so that some have worried if their setups will be able to handle it.
Luckily, the developers have finally released a list of system requirements and PC specs needed for it. So let’s take a look at the minimum, recommended, high AND ultra specs.
Dead Island 2 Minimum PC Specs
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMD FX-9690 or Intel Core i7-7700HQ
- Memory: 10GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 1060
- Storage: 70GB available
Dead Island 2 Recommended PC Specs
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i9-9900K
- Memory: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT or GeForce RTX 2070 Super
- Storage: 70GB available
Dead Island 2 High PC Specs
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel Core i5-12600KF
- Memory: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT or GeForce RTX 3070
- Storage: 70GB available
Dead Island 2 Ultra PC Specs
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMDY Ryzen 9 7900 X or Intel Core i7-13700K
- Memory: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT or GeForce RTX 3090
- Storage: 70GB available
No Cross-play
Alongside the list of requirements, the team at Dambuster Studios also revealed that the game will not support cross-play. However, it will support cross-generation cross-play for consoles. Simply put, PC players will not be able to squad up with their PlayStation friends but PS4 and PS5 users will be able to.
FPS Cap and Streamer Mode
Dead Island 2 will cap at 60FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series and 30FPS for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For the streamers out there, a steamer mode will be available upon release.
Last but not least, DI2 will only support DirectX 12 as well as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening.
