Diablo franchise manager Rod Fergusson has revealed a “secret announcement” regarding Diablo 4. Here’s what we know so far.
This Developer Update Livestream is set to be held this Thursday, April 20. This was confirmed earlier this week by Diablo global community development director Adam Fletcher.
Diabo 4 Big Live Stream
The live stream will kick off at 7pm BST and is rumoured to “be a big one”, according to the team. Fletcher will be joined by Diablo 4 director Joe Shely and associate director Joseph Piepiora.
As you can probably guess, we don’t know exactly what this live stream will include. However, Fletcher has told fans that it will last around 90 minutes and “dive deeper in endgame, class/dungeon beta learnings, and more”.
For Fergusson who spoke to GamesRadar, this ‘secret announcement’ will be part of the Developer Update.
Speculation Overload
Since the announcement, fans have been speculating as to what this big reveal could be. Blizzard are keeping their lips somewhat shut but some players believe they will reveal an end-game beta.
This will allow players to get a taste of after-game content that we didn’t get to see in the previous Diablo 4 beta. Additionally, some people think the team could announce the revival of the game’s Paladin class which hasn’t been in the Diablo franchise since Diablo 2.
Or, could it even be that the early access period is being brought forward to May? The speculation is endless but we will find out later!
Post-beta Updates for Diablo 4
This news comes the same week the team announced the updates they had incorporated thanks to feedback from the game’s beta.
We spoke about these changes in depth here so make sure to check it out!
Until then, make sure to tune into the Developer Update tomorrow. Diablo 4 will launch for most platforms on June 6, 2023.
