Square Enix has launched a brand new YouTube Music channel that has over 5,500 pieces of music from across its games.
Video game music lovers rejoice, as Square Enix has launched a new YouTube Music channel. You will likely be happy to hear that this new channel has over 5,500 songs from across a huge range of games.
Thankfully, Square Enix did not just give us Final Fantasy music, but the soundtracks from games like Nier Automata, Chrono Trigger, and much more.
It isn’t just soundtracks that are on offer. Over the years Square Enix has released a variety of compilation albums. In 2020, the company released a couple of chill out arrangement mixes which are available to listen to on the channel.
Oddly though, titles like Kingdom Hearts are missing from the channel. But this is likely due to Disney being involved with the licensing of the soundtracks.
However, Square Enix has also made a new channel on YouTube specifically, called the Square Enix Music Channel. Rather than soundtracks, this has specific mixes. One is called the Mellow Minstrel Mix, a classic chill music to study/ work to mix. Or alternatively, there’s Airship Cruise Beat, music that is designed more to hype you up.
This channel will not just be used for music though. Apparently Square Enix plans to upload videos detailing the creation of the music for its games. As well music videos, and interviews with the composers.
