This Mobile App Helps You Track Quests And NPCs In Elden Ring

A new app called Shattered Ring seeks to help Elden Ring players with tracking the various quests and NPCs in the game.

Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need

A common bit of advice you might have seen being shared online for Elden Ring is that you should keep a journal. Unlike most AAA games, Elden Ring has absolutely no form of quest tracking. You meet an NPC and they ask you to do something? The game will not remind you about it at all. So the point of keeping a journal is to take notes of the various NPCs you meet, and the things they need from you.

But that can be difficult. So an Elden Ring player has made an app to help you keep track of it all.

The app, called Shattered Ring, is basically a database app, where players can enter the names of NPCs they meet in Elden Ring. As well as this, you can input information like where they met them, if they’re a merchant, or if they gave out any quests. But because of this customizability, the app can technically be used for any RPG.

Speaking to VGC, the creator of the app Dachary Carey said “I’m not an iOS developer by trade. I write documentation for a living. But I wanted to enjoy playing this game so badly that I wrote my very first app to solve what I think is a big accessibility barrier for a ton of more casual gamers like myself.”

Considering there is no way to track quests in game, it certainly seems like it will be useful for many. But if you like winging it, the original game is there for you to do as you please.
