When is The Last of Us PC release date? Because we can’t wait to play this Naughty Dog classic on a beast of a PC. Bring it on!
The Last of Us is without a doubt one of PlayStation’s most critically acclaimed series of all time from both critics and fans alike. However, depending on who you may ask, you may get a very different answer when it comes to The Last of Us: Part 2.
We’re counting down the days to The Last of Us PC release date!
The Last of Us was originally released for the PS3 in 2013 towards the end of the console’s life cycle, and it pushed the system to its absolute limits.
Then in 2014, we were treated to The Last of Us: Remastered for PS4. This was very much the same game as the year prior. However, it came with improved visuals and performance. Basically, it was a better version of the game we already loved.
In 2019, we got The Last of Us: Part 2 which took a very surprising turn that did not sit well with a lot of fans. Personally, I loved the game for what it was, but that’s not to say I didn’t like all aspects. Though, that’s a conversation for another day. So let’s get back on topic.
September 2022 saw the launch of The Last of Us: Part 1 for the PS5. This was a remake (not remaster) of the original game that started it all. However, with the aid of current-gen console technology, the game looked, played and performed better than ever.
The Last of Us: Part 1 is coming to PC
Sure, questions could be raised regarding the RRP of The Last of Us: Part 1. That being said, if this would be your first entry into this classic Naughty Dog series, there was simply no better place to start. So, six months on from its PS5 release, The Last of Us: Part 1 is coming to PC.
At this point in the article, I’d inform you of the PC system requirements. However, at the time of writing, the PC system requirements haven’t been released. So be sure to keep a lookout on GameByte for when those details drop.
All I can tell you at this time is that it will require a 64-bit processor and an operating system. If I was to take an educated guess, I’d say you might also need 4GB of Memory and an Intel Pentium 4.2.00 GHz.
When is The Last of Us PC release date and where can I buy it?
Assuming we suffer no further delays, The Last of Us PC release date is 28th, March 2023. Which means that its launch is just around the corner. You can buy The Last of Us: Part 1 on PC via Steam or Epic Games.
We reviewed The Last of Us remake
In our review of The Last of Us: Part 1, we said: “The Last of Us Part 1 is a game that doesn’t feel like it needs to exist, but I’m glad it does.
“Even though that outdated 2013 design still bleeds through, the visual upgrades, combat tweaks and accessibility improvements makes it feel like a brand new title. In time, this will become the de facto definitive edition of the game that will be enjoyed for generations to come.”
