When is the John Wick 4 release date? What’s more, what else do we need to know for the highly anticipated sequel?
Starring Keanu Reeves, and directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick Chapter 4 has been a long time coming following the release of Chapter 3 in 2019.
Originally set to launch in theatres worldwide on 21st May 2021, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic running rampant over the last couple of years, we’ve had to wait a little longer for the dog-avenging assassin.
What’s more, not only was the release date delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but also Keanu Reeves’ commitment to The Matrix Resurrections.
During an interview with IndieWire in May 2020, director Stahelski said: “So, Keanu’s gotta go finish his commitment up on The Matrix, which is a big deal and which I think will probably take him until the end of the year. Then we have to go into our prep mode and then we’ll start.”
However, we can now look forward to the latest movie now that the John Wick 4 release date is set in stone.
What’s the story?
The official synopsis reads: “With the price on his head ever increasing, legendary hitman John Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Japan to Berlin.”
