To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Once & Always trailer has been released. Here’s everything we know so far.
To celebrate the occasion, Hasbro and Netflix are coming together to release Once & Always. With some of the original cast returning plus some new faces, fans of the original have long awaited this moment.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once & Always Trailer
A full trailer released this week shows us what we can expect from the long-awaited movie. The Rangers will be coming face-to-face with the evil Rita Repulsa again. However this time, she’s back with a robotic body. The Rangers are also welcoming a newbie to their ranks!
The Cast – the new and the old
Mighty Morphin Once & Always are bringing back some familiar faces such as Walter Emanuel Jones as Zack, David Yost as Billy, Karan Ashley as Aisha, Steve Cardenas as Rocky and Catherine Sutherland as Kat.
Joining them for this adventure will be Charlie Kersh who will take on the role of Trini’s daughter. We will also find out how exactly she sees herself joining the Ranger crew.
In an interview with EW, Yost talked about being back on the Power Rangers set alongside Jones. “We went through the audition process together and launched the Power Rangers franchise. It was such a surreal experience to be on the set of Power Rangers again after 28 years.”
This comes after Yost took to Instagram to show behind-the-scenes footage of Billy’s Morph sequence.
Release Date
The one-hour special will be coming to Netflix on April 19. Additionally, they have also released a full synopsis of what fans can expect.
“The Rangers come face to face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise ‘Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,’ Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.”
