Highly anticipated sci-fi RPG, Starfield is getting its own event following the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase later this month.
Earlier this week, rumours were making the rounds that an Xbox and Bethesda Showcase event will be taking place on January 25th. Well, those rumours have now been officially confirmed and the show will go ahead as reported.
Dates, times and games confirmed
The Xbox and Bethesda Showcase will focus on games such as Redfall, the Forza Motorsport reboot, Minecraft Legends, and more. However, one notable absence from that line-up was Starfield.
That being said, it was reported that while Starfield won’t feature during this month’s event, it will be getting a “bigger marketing beat later on”. And that certainly appears to be the case, as Microsoft has announced that Starfield will be getting its own dedicated showcase at a later date.
When will the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase take place?
The Xbox and Bethesda Showcase will take place on January 25th at 12pm PT/3pm ET/8pm GMT.
You will be able to watch the show via the official Xbox Twitch and YouTube channels or you can also watch the show via Bethesda’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
What about the Starfield Showcase?
At this time, Microsoft hasn’t announced when the Starfield Showcase will take place. However, on Xbox News, it says that a dedicated: “amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, a standalone show is in the works.”
No doubt we’ll get to see a lot of Starfield gameplay and hopefully, we’ll finally get a new release date too. At this time, the Starfield support page states that the RPG will be released in early 2023.
