A Mass Effect fan has remade Omega using Unreal Engine 5 and it looks stunning. Could this give us a glimpse of the upcoming game?
Omega was a space station that featured in Mass Effect 3 DLC released in 2012. It was a criminal heaven home of the worst criminal scum in the galaxy. It was a grimy, and dangerous place, even for the likes of Commander Shepard.
However, as reported by DSOGaming, Mass Effect fan and YouTuber, Leo Torres has recreated the Omega Space Station using Unreal Engine 5 and the results are very impressive, to say the least.
“This wasn’t based off any specific scene from the game itself – rather the overall atmosphere of Omega – and it primarily serves as a chance to test out the latest, official stable version of UE5,” reads the video description. “I was curious how the gameplay elements would handle a complex, fully dynamic world – and so far, – it seems pretty solid with only minor hiccups.”
We’d love to try the Omega demo!
At this time, the demo hasn’t been made available to the public. Hopefully, that will change in the near future, because we’d love to check it out. The upcoming fifth Mass Effect game also uses Unreal Engine 5, so this demo might give us a glimpse into the series’ future.
