Here are the rest of our picks for the best Switch co-op games you can play right now!
6. Diablo III: Eternal Collection
The ultimate hack and slash grindathon, Diablo III: Eternal Collection bursts onto the Switch in all its monster-bashing glory. Play locally or online, with up to four players coming together to defeat the Lord of Terror Diablo himself, in a dark fantasy world full of angels, demons, and terminally angry chickens. This version comes with the popular expansion packs included as well as numerous graphical tweaks and updates – running at a solid 60fps- making it the definitive way to bust some demonic heads alongside your friends.
7. Overcooked! 2
Navigate increasingly improbable kitchens and help the Onion King defeat the Unbread Horde in Overcooked! 2, sequel to 2017’s overwhelming cooking simulator with more salad orders than a restaurant in January. The crazy, fast-paced gameplay is back and better than ever, with up to four chefs slicing and dicing their way to culinary success against the clock. Definitely on the high-stress side of co-op gaming, Overcooked! 2 is the kind of experience that’ll have you yelling for more onions as your chefs flail about in an unprecedented kitchen nightmare.
8. Stardew Valley
Farm life simulator Stardew Valley offers players the chance to transform a ramshackle farm, breathe new life into a community, and make more wine than a small country. Multiplayer mode offers a fresh take on the game’s challenges, with one player acting as the main farmer and the others as farmhands. Though you’ll share the same farm, each player gets access to their own house and inventory space, and can marry one of the game’s eligible NPCs (or one another). Do make sure to plant your crops cooperatively!
9. Unravel Two
Work together as two adorable Yarnys in Unravel Two, exploring forests and factories as you try to keep your newfound bond safe. A rich puzzle-platformer full of environmental tricks where you need to move in tandem, Unravel Two is built with the multiplayer experience at its heart, making it one of the best Switch co-op games thanks to its dual character setup. Another great choice for playing with less experienced or younger gamers, as some puzzles only require one Yarny to progress, with the other coming along for the ride thanks to their woolly anchor.
10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
Hot off the press for multiplayer magic is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, a short but sweet love letter to everything 1980s, complete with crime-fighting turtles and high-fiving beat ‘em up action. A must-play for fans of the TMNT franchise, this is an exceptional game that recognises everything good about classic arcade co-op: cheese, pizzas, and more cheese. The main campaign isn’t very long, but the arcade mode has plenty of replay fun for button mashers and hi-score fiends alike. Plus, there’s music from the Wu- Tang Clan. Rad!
