Baldur’s Gate 3 will be launching on PC in August 2023, after a long period of early access that began in October 2020. So we don’t have an actual date yet, but this is a closer idea of when we can expect to be playing the 1.0 release of the game.

Larian also confirmed two beloved Baldur’s Gate characters, Minsc and Jaheira, will be returning in the new sequel. Both characters appeared as potential party members in Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2, and it appears they’ll be fulfilling a similar role here too.

Basically, if you’re an active D&D player, the collector’s edition looks worth picking up. Limited to 25k units, it costs $269.99 and pre-orders are available now.

Even though launch is less than a year away, there will still be new Baldur’s Gate 3 content updates coming sooner to please Early Access players along the way. Patch 9 will launch this month and include a new playable class among other pieces of content.

More details about this update will be revealed during Larian’s festive Panel From Hell: Holy Knight Twitch stream on December 14th at 6PM GMT.
