Two huge PS5 exclusives coming to PC next year, and one already has a release date

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced two of its biggest PS5 exclusives will be hitting PC storefronts in 2023.

The Game Awards aired early this morning, recognising many of the big games and talents that have been seen across the games industry in 2022. And alongside these awards comes many announcements for new and upcoming games.

Two such announcements came from Sony, who detailed which two PlayStation games would be next to come to PC platforms.

During the pre-show, Sony announced the long-rumoured Returnal would be hitting PC in early 2023. There’s currently no release date yet, so “early 2023” could mean anywhere between January and June.

Previously a PS5 exclusive, rumours of Returnal coming to PC began in May when it was spotted as an entry in SteamDB.

The other game Sony revealed was The Last of Us Part 1, which was already confirmed for the platform but now has a release date. Joel and Ellie’s adventure begins on PC on 3rd March, 2023, which should coincide with the final few episodes of HBO’s The Last of Us series airing.

The Last of Us and Returnal on PC

Pre-orders for The Last of Us Part 1 are already available on Steam and Epic, priced at £50. We reviewed the PS5 version earlier this year, calling it the “de facto definitive edition of the game that will be enjoyed for generations to come.”

Returnal and The Last of Us Part 1 is just the next step in Sony’s pledge to bring its most popular games to PC. In 2022, the company published God of War, Spider-Man, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure across PC storefronts.
