According to the data provided by the Steam achievements, an impressive 70% of players have beat the first boss of Elden Ring.
Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need
Last week we reported that only 50% of players had beaten the first ‘major’ boss in Elden Ring, Godrick the Grafted. Godrick is considered to be the first major boss, because as the ruler of Stormveil Castle, by beating him you’ll acquire his Great Rune.
You can of course venture just about anywhere in the Lands Between, but for most players, Godrick is the first and most logical major boss to take on. Otherwise, you run the risk of facing up to some serious OP bosses that you might not be ready for.
However, before you even get close to taking on Godrick, you must first face the defender of Stormveil Castle, Margit the Fell Omen. Who offers a great warm-up to Godrick and is more than capable of testing your skills.
Players are kicking godly butt!
At the time of writing, an impressive 70.9% of players have defeated Margit the Fell Omen on Steam. Which is a similar number to PlayStation players, which is currently at 68.4%. In terms of Margit’s bigger companion, 61.8% of players have beaten him on Steam and 58.2% of players on PlayStation.
Only yesterday, my noob skills joined the 61.8% of players in defeating Godrick. I know, I’ve got a long way to go, but let me have my little moment in the sun. Defeating Godrick was quite the struggle, but thankfully I had this helpful GameByte guide at hand to provide some useful tips. You can also check out our video guide below.
