In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Henry Cavill has admitted he would “love to have a conversation,” about being in the live action Mass Effect adaptation.
Earlier this year, speculation arose that Cavill was involved in some kind of live action Mass Effect project. Though nothing ever came of that, and was likely him having a bit of fun.
He’s no stranger to adaptations either, playing both Superman and Geralt from The Witcher. And he is also somewhat of a nerd, being a fan of both Warhammer, as well as being a PC gamer.
The actor has recently been on the press junket for the second season of The Witcher, releasing this Friday on Netflix. And GamesRadar took the opportunity to ask about whether he was interested in taking part in a live action Mass Effect show.
“Very much so, yeah, all depending on how they’re executing it,” Cavill says. “The world of adaptation can be heavy or light. When I like a product, I prefer the adaptation to be less changed from the source, so it all depends.”
A Mass Effect show is potentially going to be made for Amazon Prime. Cavill says that if the series does find a home that he would “love” to talk about being in it. He also admitted to not having had time to play Mass Effect Andromeda, but loved the original trilogy. Cavill’s passion for these projects is very infectious, so here’s hoping he is involved in some shape or form.
