Dark Souls Dev Finally Fixing Multiplayer Issues After 110 Days

Bandai Namco has confirmed that it is “actively working” on fixing the server issues that Dark Souls has had since the start of the year.

Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need

At the start of the year, reports started to emerge of hackers on PC using an exploit across all Dark Souls games to brick players’ computers. Very quickly, servers were taken offline so that this could not occur, and it didn’t affect Elden Ring in any way.

That was almost four months ago now though, or 110 days to be exact, and the servers still aren’t back online.

Now, as reported by PC Gamer, Bandai Namco has confirmed that the server issues are being properly addressed. Reddit user Relevant_Heart_1751 reached out to Bandai Namco to try and find out if the problem was actually being worked on. And they did receive a response from the publisher.

what did bandai namco say?

I’m happy to confirm that the developers are actively working on resolving the issue in question and re-launching the Dark Souls servers for PC as soon as possible,” responded the Bandai Namco customer support team. “For the moment, we do not have an estimate of when this is expected to happen.

It could still be a while until the issue is actually resolved. But at least we know that Bandai Namco is trying to fix the server issues with Dark Souls. The publisher has mostly been silent on this particular front since the problem arose. Likely due to needing to focus on the launch of Elden Ring. Already one of the biggest games of the year.

Hopefully the servers will be fixed sooner rather than later. But at least there’s plenty in Elden Ring to keep us occupied for now.
