So let’s take a look at what features players can expect.

Unlocked Frame Rate & FSR Support

For those who will be running the game on a high-end setup, you will be able to experience the game with an unlocked frame rate. However, for those who play on the lower end, there will be support for AMD FSR 2 and Nvidia DLSS. This technology can help with image quality and boosting frame rates.

Speedrun Mode

Pretty self-explanatory but The Last of Us Part 1 for PC will offer a speedrunning mode. This will test just how quickly you can complete the game. If you’re feeling up for a challenge, the current high score to beat was set by AnthonyCaliber. The gamer managed to complete the story in under three hours.

Permadeath Mode

If you’re feeling a lot braver than I ever would, you can attempt to beat the game on permadeath mode. This means that any wrong move will result in your death and send you back to the beginning again.

In the PlayStation version of The Last of Us, you could customise this mode to allow you to go back to certain checkpoints and chapters rather than start from the very beginning.
