Netflix has revealed the synopsis for season 3 of The Witcher. Furthermore, we also have confirmation that production has now begun.
The news of the third season of The Witcher beginning production was announced via the official social media channels. Alongside the announcement was a photo of Henry Cavill (Geralt), Freya Allan (Ciri), and Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) looking all cosy on a wintery set.

Following up from the cosy photo of the leading trio was the synopsis for the upcoming season.
Now, before you read on, please be advised that the synopsis does reveal minor spoilers for season three. That being said, if you’re not caught up with seasons one and two, then you shouldn’t really be here.
The Witcher season 3 synopsis reads:
“As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it.
Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery.
They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”
