The Witcher season 3 releases in the summer of 2023 on Netflix. Furthermore, the prequel series launches this December.
Announced via the Netflix Twitter account, The Witcher season three will arrive in the summer of 2023. “Our family returns! The Witcher is back for Season 3 in Summer 2023,” read the tweet.
The Witcher prequel arrives on Netflix this year
Furthermore, The Witcher: Blood Origin will premiere via the streaming service on December 25 2022. Merry Christmas!
The Witcher: Blood Origin is apparently set around 1,200 years before the events of the main Netflix series.
Blood Origin tells the story of the creation of the first Witcher, as well as the events leading up to the “Conjunction of Spheres”.
Moreover, the prequel series is also said to explore the demise of the ancient Elven civilisation. I cannot wait.
It’s been a long wait for The Witcher season 3
In recent weeks, filming for season three of The Witcher has concluded.
Now that we have an official release window, there is plenty of time to catch up with seasons one and two if you haven’t already watched.
The Witcher season two was released in 2021. But if you’re like me, you’ve probably forgotten 90% of its story already. The new release window means it’s never been a better time for a rewatch.
“What a season this has been! I just wanted to thank you all for your determination and dedication through a tough shoot,” Geralt of Rivia actor, Henry Cavill announced via social media.
“Hopefully you can all get some well-deserved rest,” he continued.
Can we have a recap of season 2, please?
With a bit of luck, in the coming weeks/months, Netflix might treat us to a Witcher season three trailer, as well as an in-depth recap of the second season.
