Elden Ring Speedrunner Manages To Beat Game In Under 1 Hour

A speedrunner has already managed to beat Elden Ring in under an hour, the world’s first sub-hour run.

Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need

Remember yesterday when we showed you that impressive no death, two and a half hour long Elden Ring speedrun? Well, while it’s certainly still impressive because of the lack of deaths, there’s a new run in town. This run is from speedrunner LilAggy, a popular Souls game runner, and sees him beating Elden Ring in under an hour. Specifically, 59:38.

Unlike the no-death run, this involves a number of bugs, glitches, and teleports. So it would specifically be categorised as a glitch-oriented run. However, it’s still very early days in the Elden Ring speedrunning community. As there are no runs up yet on the official page on speedrun.com.

LilAggy essentially skips a majority of the beginning of the game, including the first big bosses like Margit and Godrick. There’s an important skip you can get at the second area, Academy of Raya Lucaria, where you are transported to one of the later optional dungeons.

LilAggy eventually makes his way to the game’s last area, where he takes on a number of the end game bosses. He did face a little bit of trouble with some of the last set of bosses. But considering how under prepared his character would be compared to other players, it’s understandable.

Runs like this are certainly exciting when it comes to the future of speedrunning Elden Ring. A lot of the strats seen in both runs are almost certainly going to change. So it’s likely only a matter of time before we see even faster times from these runners.
