This week promises to be one for the esports history books, as the world’s first official Call of Duty: Warzone tournament hosted by Twitch Rivals is about to go down. Presented in partnership with Activision Blizzard, the event will see some of the world’s best FPS streamers taking part, with competitors from all over the world including Europe, North America and Taiwan.
The Call of Duty: Warzone tournament starts today on March 25th and ends on March 26th. Each day will feature a 3.5 hour tournament as the pros duke it out for the win.
To help you get up-to-speed on exactly who will be competing in the tournament, we’ve compiled a list of some of the streamers you should be looking out for over the next two days:
DrDisrespect
You can’t talk pro gaming, Call of Duty or indeed Twitch, without mentioning the one and only DrDisrespect.
Known for being very vocal when it comes to his opinions on games like PUBG, Fortnite and Call of Duty, DrDis is a streamer who’s definitely going to bring some attitude to these matches. In terms of skill, rest assured you can expect nothing but the best from one of esports’ top players. He’s definitely one to look out for this tournament!
DrLupo
DrLupo is perhaps known by many as the streamer very much associated with Ninja. Being buds with the Fortnite pro definitely hasn’t hurt his career, but with 3.8 million Twitch followers of his own, DrLupo is definitely one of the bigger names in the business!
DrLupo is known for showcasing his skills in Battle Royale games such as H1Z1 and PUBG. He made waves in the industry by jumping straight onto the Fortnite hype back in 2017, but he’s also known for his Escape from Tarkov skills and – of course – Call of Duty: Warzone has been a firm favourite on his Twitch channel since it launched.
DrLupo has also raised over $1 million for St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
Summit1g
Summit1g is a household name if there ever was one, and he’ll be entering play with the best of the best.
Quite possibly one of the most skilled players of the Battle Royale genre, Summit1g will definitely be giving the rest of the pro gamers a run for their money. Whether or not those Victory Royales will translate to Verdansk…well, you’ll have to tune in and see!
Aydan
Aydan started streaming in 2017 and climbed the popularity ranks thanks to his impressive skills with FPS games and exceptional skills with a controller.
He’s a very skilled Fortnite player and currently holds the world record for 30 kills in Solo Mode on Fortnite (console). At the time of writing, Aydan has over 1.5 million followers on Twitch and, while he is primarily known as a Fortnite player, it will be interesting to see how he transitions over to the world of Call of Duty: Warzone.
LIRIK
LIRIK aka Saqib Zahid is one of the most popular and successful streamers on Twitch with over 2.5 million followers.
He began his Twitch streamer career back in 2011 making his name with games such as DayZ and World of Warcraft. LIRIK then moved on to PUBG, before putting his skills to the test with the recent launch of Call of Duty: Warzone.
Anthony_Kongphan
Anthony_Kongphan began his streaming career back in 2014 and since then he’s gone from strength to strength with 450,000 followers on Twitch.
Anthony is perhaps best known to many for his escapades in dino survival game Ark, but he gets his competitive juices flowing with games such as PUBG, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, The Culling and H1Z1. Anthony is also an avid charity streamer, raising huge amounts for the likes of St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
HasanAbi
HasanAbi is one of the largest political voices on Twitch.
When HasanAbi is not sharing his views on the current political climate, he also likes to chill out to some Call of Duty: Warzone and get chatting with his 250,000+ followers.
NickeEh30
NickeEh30 was one of the most beloved Fortnite YouTubers before making the switch to Twitch, but is also now one of the many that are transitioning to Call of Duty: Warzone in its early rapid rise of popularity.
With over 860,000 Followers on Twitch, NickeEh30 is considered to be one of the best Fortnite streamers around, but how will he fare in Warzone?
SypherPK
SypherPK began his career streaming in 2014 and his continued rise has seen him become one of the most popular on Twitch.
SypherPK is an avid MMO fan, but is best known for not only his Fortnite skills, but also chatting everything Fortnite with his near 3 million followers on Twitch.
72hrs
72hrs began streaming in 2014. He’s considered to be one of the best Fortnite players on Twitch, (and one of the funniest).
Now he’s turned his talents to Call of Duty: Warzone – at least when he’s not tormenting his victims when playing some Dead by Daylight. 72hrs has over 900,000 followers on Twitch.
Cloazky
Cloazky is not only a seriously entertaining streamer on Twitch with nearly 1.8 million followers, but he’s also a very talented FPS player.
He’s won countless prizes throughout his streaming career which began in 2015. Like most others on this list, Cloazky is an avid Fortnite player, but he also enjoys some Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale. Now of course, Cloazky can be found testing his skills in Warzone.
AnneMunition
AnneMunition is one of the most fun and talented streamers on Twitch with nearly 600,000 followers.
As well as showcasing her skills playing Overwatch and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, AnneMunition loves to talk about food. Now she loves talking about food while playing Call of Duty: Warzone. Some of AnneMunition’s all-time favourite games include the N64 classic, GoldenEye 007, and the Halo series.
