Oh good.

New Apex Legends Map Teased In Respawn Job Listing

Apex Legends may be set to get a new map if a recent new job listing is anything to go by. As spotted by ComicBook, a new job listing at Respawn Entertainment is looking for a very specific type of game designer, and it could mean a lot for the future of the Battle Royale titan.

The listing, which was posted on May 19th, calls for someone who can “create and own large scale multiplayer maps iterating through gameplay blockouts in a live playtest environment.”

The ideal candidate must also be “forward-thinking and pro-active in terms of finding ways to improve the players’ experience through map design.”

As if that weren’t enough of a clue, the listing begins: “We are looking for someone who’s excited to contribute to our team culture and share his/her hard-earned expertise to create memorable and intuitive maps.”

I don’t know about you, but that’s looking like a dead-cert for a new Apex map! As always with rumours and leaks though, best take it with a pinch of salt for the time being.

Apex Legends may have had a bit of a fall from grace since it first launched back in 2019, but the game still boasts huge player numbers despite its not-at-all-unexpected dip.

The game launched its fifth Season last month, which introduced the new character, Loba, along with a “dangerous new area, Salvage, in the newly formed bay.”

Even if the above job listing isn’t on the hunt for someone to design a brand-new map, it’s likely we can expect new playable area in the coming months.
