Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Will Receive No Further DLC Beyond 2021

It has been revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive no further character DLC beyond 2021.

Today is the release date for the latest and 10th character DLC from Fighter Pass Vol. 2 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

At the Nintendo Direct showcase during E3 2021, Tekken’s Kazuya Mishima was announced as the next character arriving to the popular brawler.

It was expected that Kazuya Mishima would be the penultimate character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that has now been all but confirmed. This means that there will only be one more character left to be announced, and that’s your lot.

As covered by The Gamer, news of their only being one more character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was revealed by series director Masahiro Sakurai during a recent in-depth video of the latest guest character.

The next DLC fighter will be the last one,” said Sakurai. “There won’t be anymore after that.

In related news, earlier in June, 343 Industries Community Director expressed his hopes that Master Chief from the Halo series would be the last guest character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Now that would be an epic conclusion!
