PlayStation is set to air their first State of Play show of 2023. Expect exciting updates from some of our highly-anticipated games.
State of Play is one of the most exciting gaming events of the year and this addition should be no different. PlayStation has promised an update for some games from their third-party partners.
What is expected?
Sony also hinted at a glimpse of five of their upcoming PlayStation VR2 titles set to release later on in the year. However, we are unsure what will be shown in this part of the show. We also don’t yet know how long the broadcast will be but a 15-minute look at the upcoming game has been promised.
But nonetheless, the show is expected to air on February 23rd, which is tomorrow. It will air at 10PM CET.
Perhaps most importantly will be updates on the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Developed by Rocksteady Studios and with a release date for some time during 2023, this title sees fans eager for some more information.
First announced back in 2020 and since receiving many delays, this upcoming action-adventure game will be revealing new game mechanics.
Previous State of Play
The last State of Play aired in September last year and saw some highlights such as a new trailer for God of War: Ragnarok. It also shared a Western release date for Like a Dragon: Ishin (which is out today!) and the official announcement for Tekken 8.
Since its birth in 2019, State of Play has been the home of many epic gaming reveals. It saw trailers for The Last of Us 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West and many more.
Much-anticipated releases
With many big titles expected to come to PlayStation 5 in 2023, we can take a guess at some of the ones we might see. Both Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Final Fantasy 16 may be on the docket. More information on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 may be revealed after a Fall 2023 release date was estimated.
