A new Hot Wheels Unleashed trailer has unveiled the upcoming game’s second environment, which features a multi-floored Skyscraper track.
Previously, we got a glimpse at Hot Wheels Unleashed’s Grungey Garage and its vintage aesthetic. Now, thanks to a recent trailer, we now know that the game will also feature a towering Skyscraper based on a vertical map. Check it out in the video below!
The trailer also shows off six of the game’s 60-plus vehicle collection available on day one. Bump Around, Mountain Mauler, Sandivore, Boom Car, Buns of Steel, Fast Gassin and Motosaurus can all be witnessed dashing across the new high altitude track, which also extends outside the Skyscraper. The Skyscraper’s scenic skyline is both beautiful and butterfly-inducing, especially if you have a fear of heights.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is definitely one to check out, especially if you’re a fan of toy cars. Each vehicle is essentially a virtual toy vehicle based on real products from the Hot Wheels range. The game is also set to feature a track editor, which really adds to the experience’s toy box aesthetic. Tracks can also be shared with the game’s community, which is sure to result in something resembling a Wacky Races episode.
If you’re a fan of multiplayer experiences, then you’ll be glad to know that Hot Wheels Unleashed will feature online PvP supporting up to 12 players. Offline players will also be able to enjoy a traditional two-player split-screen mode, which should liven up your night in somewhat.
Hopefully, we’ll get to see more of the game’s creative environments closer to its release. Personally, I’d love to see an office inspired track since being in one has become a novelty thanks to the ongoing pandemic.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is racing its way onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC on 30th September 2021.
