Now do it with Donkey Kong bongos.

YouTuber Beats Mario 64 In Under Two Hours While Blindfolded

Prepare to feel like you’re bad at video games, because a YouTuber has beaten Super Mario 64, in under two hours, while blindfolded (thanks, TheGamer).

We all love a good speedrun. The level of skill at play is impeccable at the highest level. And Super Mario 64 in particular is a treat of a game to watch. Some players know that game better than they know their own parents’ names.

That must be the case for YouTuber Bubzia, who has beaten Mario 64 in 1:44:28, all while being blindfolded. Bubzia specifically did the 70 star run of the game, which doesn’t allow any sequence breaking.

Bubzia performed the run at Summer Games Done Quick earlier this year, where they got a personal best of 1:49:59. That means Bubzia managed to shave off just over five minutes total, an incredibly impressive feat.

Speedruns often come down to milliseconds, so to do so in a very challenging run is a real accomplishment. Blindfolded 70 star runs aren’t an official category on speedrun.com as of yet, but Bubzia is certainly proving the legitimacy of the run. For comparison, the world record of the standar 70 star run is 46:58, an hour shorter than Bubzia’s blindfolded run. The speedrunner is also looking to complete the 120 star run blindfolded, an as of yet unachieved triumph.

Any which way, not many people can say they’ve beaten Super Mario 64 blindfolded. For now, maybe just try to get all 120 stars. That’s enough of a triumph.
