A hidden area in Elden Ring could hint that future DLC is on the way for FromSoftware’s latest hit. But what else could it mean?

The hidden area was found by Lance McDonald. Now if you’re familiar with Lance McDonald’s YouTube channel, then you would know that he specialises in discovering out of bounds areas. Especially when it comes to titles by FromSoftware.
The area in question is over to the west side of the map, next to the large broken bridge. In this area, is a colosseum that is guarded by an invader. At least at this moment, there seems to be no way of entering this colosseum, at least officially.
Thankfully, Lance McDonald was on the case, and he was able to go beyond the walls to give us an exploration of the colosseum from the inside. Judging by the video clip uploaded to the YouTube channel, this colossus looks to be nearly finished. Albeit without animations and gameplay triggers.
Could this be a place to test your skills?
This arena could simply be a building that was initially created to serve more of a purpose in the main story of Elden Ring, which was then abandoned by the developers. However, some believe that this colosseum could hint at future DLC.
At this time, all we can do is speculate. That being said, upon seeing this colosseum my initial thought was this could be a suitable place for a boss or invader rush survival mode. I mean, what better place to test your skills in a gladiator arena against the toughest opponents from the Lands Between. Perhaps it could even be a place to battle other online players?

In a sense, it’s more of a love letter to the Soulsborne fanbase, incorporating dramatic fragments of each past game into a single product that is rewarding and fulfilling. While not perfect, I believe that FromSoftware has followed through on the hype surrounding this game and been able to create something truly mesmerising.”
