Elden Ring has only been out for a number of weeks and already speedrunners are breaking records left, right and centre. However, this latest run is the cream of the crop. At least for now.

First, we had a no death speedrun coming in at 2 hours and 30 minutes. Then just a few short days ago, we had a mighty impressive run clocking in at under 1 hour. We thought it would be a while until that time was beaten. We were wrong.

As reported by PC Gamer, the latest Elden Ring speedrunner in question goes by the name Distorian2. At first, they beat the time in 30:24. Then they set a new target time of 28:06. While that set time wasn’t beaten, Distortion2 managed to clock in at an incredible time of 28:59.

Just…WOW!

Seriously, it must take some insane skills to beat a game such as Elden Ring in any kind of speedrun. But to finish it in less than 30 minutes, all I can say is “WOW”. This record is now the world’s first sub-30-minute run.

That being said, I would say that this time might take a while to beat, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re writing about a new Elden Ring speedrun record in the coming days. Watch this space.
