New Pokémon GO! details have just been revealed by Niantic’s Anne Beuttenmuller, Head Of European Marketing for the company, and it sounds like we might finally be getting the PvP mode we’ve always wanted for the game. Hooray!
Speaking to Polish website Gram, Beuttenmuller said (translation): “Now we are working on the PvP mode, which will soon appear. In addition, we’re still working on improving the feature that has just made its debut – it’s all about friends, such as the ability to exchange Pokémon in the game.
“We’ve just introduced an improvement so you can add a note to your friend. The point is that you can have many people on your friends list and do not remember who is who. So you can add a comment to that person.
“You can also segregate your friends list. We are constantly improving the elements that we have available in the game and the next thing that we want to add at the end of this year is the PvP mode.”
During the height of Pokémon GO!’s success, players were left wondering where the PvP mode was, as it’s something that’s always been an integral part of the Pokémon games.
Battling with other real-world players sounds like the ultimate showdown, and it’s going to be an exciting update.
It’ll definitely be interesting to see how a Player-versus-Player mode would be held in the ARG, and it’s gotten fans eagerly excited for the mobile game once again.
Although Pokémon GO!’s fanbase may have dwindled since that glorious time when everyone in the whole world was playing, it still has hundreds of thousands of dedicated everyday players, desperate to catch ’em all.
Will the addition of a new PvP mode in Pokémon GO! be enough to get you back into the game, or you all Pika’d out with Niantic and its outstandingly popular mobile game?
