Speedrunner Beats Pokemon Shining Pearl In 33 Minutes

A talented speedrunner has beaten Pokemon Shining Pearl in just 33 minutes and the game has not even been out for two weeks!

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl were only released for the Nintendo Switch on November 19th. However, speedrunners are already beating the game in record time. Namely, the YouTuber Werster.

The reported by NintendoLife, Werster finished Pokemon Shining Pearl in 33 minutes and 10 seconds. Furthermore, its believed that this might be a current world-record time. However, I have no doubts that even this impressive time will be beaten one day.

As with the majority of speedruns, lots of tricks, as well as exploits, are performed. Though that doesn’t make this particular speedrun any less impressive.

According to HowLongToBeat.com, it takes an average playthrough of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl under 25 hours to finish. In comparison to a “rushed” playthrough is just under 17 hours. However, a completionist’s playthrough can take up to 100 hours.
