A new trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus shows off the Diamond and Pearl Clans, and their leaders.
The Pokemon Company has slowly been drip feeding us new bits of information related to the game over the last few months. Back in October a genuinely creepy trailer was released, eventually revealing Hisuian Zorua and Zoruark. Just last week Hisuian Voltorb was revealed. And the most recent trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus has revealed the Diamond and Pearl Clans.
The Diamond Clan is led by Adaman, who seems to be somewhat of a snooty character. Interestingly, he says the line, “Almighty Sinnoh forgive me.” While in Legends: Arceus the region is called Hisui, it is the region that will eventually become Sinnoh. So there’s the chance that Sinnoh is an as of yet unnamed legendary. Or perhaps an older name for Arceus.
And the Pearl Clan is led by Irida, who is shown to be playing the flute for a currently unknown reason. She also makes reference to the “Almighty Sinnoh,” this time saying that they, “made Hisui vast so Pokémon could live freely throughout.” Arceus supposedly created the Sinnoh region, which gives some credence to the idea that Sinnoh is just an alternate name for the god of all Pokemon.
The trailer also showed off the merchants of the Ginkgo Guild. It seems you will be able to buy berries and other foraged goods. Members of the guild include new characters Ginter and Volo, but it’s unclear if they factor into the story in any way.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus launches January 28, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch.
