We now know the official specs for both of the top-tier next-generation consoles: the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. Although we definitely are past the years of the “console wars,” it’s pretty interesting to take a look at the two side-by-side – especially if you’re only planning on picking up one console.
As revealed today, the official Sony PlayStation 5 specs are as follows (note, this is for the main PS5 and not the disc-less version):

The company writes: “Xbox Series X is the biggest generational leap of SOC [System on a Chip] and API design that we’ve done with Microsoft, and it’s really an honor for AMD to be a trusted Microsoft partner for this endeavor,” said Nussbaum. “The Xbox Series X is going to be a beacon of technical innovation leadership for this console generation and will propagate the innovation throughout the DirectX ecosystem this year and into next year.”
