Planet of Lana is a “beautiful cinematic puzzle adventure” with wonderful hand-drawn visuals and it’s coming to PC and console.
Host of the Summer Game Fest, Geoff Keighley was proud to reveal Planet of Lana on his show and you can see why.
Planet of Lana is an “off-earth odyssey” with an “unforgettable story and an epic soundtrack.” Watching the gameplay trailer, it gave me a little Ori and the Blind Forest vibes.
What is Planet of Lana?
In Planet of Lana, it tells the tale of an alien invasion as protagonist Lana and her loyal (and adorable) companion Mui, embark on a quest to save Lana’s sister and discover the secrets of the off-world visitors.
In terms of gameplay, this is a side-scrolling platforming adventure that will require you to use your wits if you are going to avert danger and solve the games challenging puzzles.
The hand-drawn visuals are colourful and vibrant, the game is beautiful as it is dangerous. Planet of Lana combines its visuals with a “complex parallax layering and subtle use of 3D graphics to give the look of an interactive painting.”
On high-end PCs and Xbox Series X, Planet of Lana will target a native resolution of 4K (2160p) at 60 frames per second.
Planet of Lana will release for PC and Xbox Series X|S in late 2022. Are you looking forward to this potential indie darling? Let us know across our social media channels.
