The PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man, was hands-down one of the best and most impressive games of 2018. The title sky-rocketed to success, beating God Of War to take the top spot of best-selling exclusive for the console.
Quickly followed up by some 10/10 DLC, the game has cemented itself as a firm fan-favourite, and boy does Insomniac know it.
It seems the company isn’t about to let go of the success of Spider-Man, and one particularly cryptic staff tease suggests that the game’s sequel could ALREADY be in development [via Unilad].
Creative Director on Insomniac’s Spider-Man, Bryan Intihar, tweeted that his next plans are already in motion, saying: “Few things are more nerve-wracking than sharing your first story draft to others.”

So… Spider-Man sequel on PS5?

We’ve probably seen the last of Spider-Man on current-gen consoles, as it’s believed that the PlayStation 5 could be dropping as early as 2020.
We’re almost definitely looking at another few years before we get confirmation of a Spider-Man 2, but take as long as you need, Insomniac. You can’t rush perfection!
Considering how impressive Spider-Man looks on the PS4, we can only imagine how fantastic it’ll look on a next-gen console.
