EA has announced that three Star Wars games are in development from Titanfall developer, Respawn Entertainment.
One of the three Star Wars games will be the highly anticipated sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The other two Star Wars games will be a strategy title as well as a first-person shooter.
Respawn who not only developed the Titanfall series, also brought us the first Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in 2019. Which to be fair, was a much better game than most of us probably expected it to be. Furthermore, it was proof to publisher EA that there’s still a high demand for single player games.
“We are huge fans of Star Wars here at Respawn Entertainment and we’re thrilled to work with Lucasfilm Games on new titles that we have wanted to make for years,” said Zampella. “If you want to make great Star Wars games, you should come join us on our journey.”
It’s an exciting time for Star Wars fans
All three Star Wars titles will be overseen by the founder of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella. Former God of War director Stig Asmussen will be taking charge of the Jedi Fallen Order sequel. While former Medal of Honor director Peter Hirschmann will be leading the charge for the FPS and strategy titles.
“Working with Lucasfilm Games on a new FPS in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true for me, as this is a story I have always wanted to tell,” said Peter Hirschmann.
