Sony has officially confirmed it will be developing TV series based on God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn [via Press Start Australia].
Sony made the announcement during a Q&A press conference early this morning for Sony Pictures Entertainment, the film division of the company that also produced the Uncharted movie earlier this year.
GOD OF WHEN?
The Horizon show will be distributed on Netflix, while God of War lives on Amazon Prime Video. Release dates for either show have not been confirmed, but as it is likely very early in development, it could be years before we see them.
In addition to these projects, a Gran Turismo show is also in the works. Although I’m not too certain how that would work as a concept.

These projects are in addition to the other video game movie and TV adaptations Sony has going on right now. A series of The Last of Us is currently filming for HBO, and projects based on Twisted Metal and Ghost of Tsushima are also in development.
Sony has also said there are other unannounced projects in the works. So only time will tell when those are ready to be revealed. Suffice it to say, it’s all quite exciting though.
