The Sims 4 received its free infant update this week. However, it didn’t take long for these infants to grow up and not in the way they should.
The Sims 4 base game welcomed infants to the fray earlier this week. Instead of jumping from crib straight to a walking, talking toddler, Sims now experience the infant life stage. It is here they can try new foods, learn to sit up and develop interesting quirks.
Another Sims 4 glitch
However, a few Simmers have noticed that a bug turns their adorable infants into long-legged monsters. This news comes courtesy of a series of screenshots posted to Reddit and the EA answers HQ.
This is not the first time this particular body-stretching glitch has been found in the game. However, it doesn’t make it any less horrifying as you can see for yourself below.
EA are not ones to rush to fix glitches and bugs (Sims 4 Dine Out cough cough) but hopefully this one is on their list of problems to tackle.
Additional updates
The recent Sims 4 update added a lot more free features to the base game. This includes new interactions (including cute ones between infants and pets), as well as CAS updates and household items.
After a CAS update back in February that added medical wearables such as hearing aids and binders, the Sims 4 team are continuing to strive for diversity. This time you can add birthmarks, stretch marks and C-section scars to your Sims.
Additionally, the game has added more options to their gender tab. You can now decide if your Sim can produce milk or if they prefer breastfeeding or bottle feeding more.
What’s next for the Sims 4?
To coincide with the free infants update, the next expansion will be arriving on March 16. Known as ‘Growing Together’, this pack will center around family life. You can see the gameplay trailer for it below!
